Mountain Panther

ok, so now its got colder he's less of a mountain panther than a hibernating lump under the duvet.
At dusk, when the noise of power tools and general work has died down, and we sit down, he will emerge. Licking a bit, sitting on laps a bit, and then having a good old sniff round to see whats changed since he last appeared.
Then he'll pop off through the cat door (wheel flap of the awning) for a bit, then return for a biscuit or two.

Flying thingee

to be id'd when insect ID book arrives!
was climbing around the fire rocks, i got it on a lid and tried to take pics but it kept moving away from the light, when i took it outside it flew away.
pointy tail bit.

Final Leg

We wake up in a sunny but empty field by the side of the road. Both our phones have run out of power so we don't know teh time!
10am says Rocky. Quick breakfast at the next truckstop cafe.
Menú de Día...

Truckers breakfast:

its 10.30 and we see some truckers finishing their breakfast, with wine. They have coffee, with brandy in!

beetle with long attenae

to be identified when my insect ID book arrives!

One was sitting on the mosquito net, but another was running round in the annexe.

Bees

I think they are honey bee's from the neighbouring empty lands, well empty of people, they have bee hives in groups of about 20.

They hum lightly, unlike the wasps which are noisy and annoying. The bees seem keen to drink our water, even if it means they end up drowning in buckets! I think around here they don't often get more than a dribble of water. But actually I didn't realise they liked water so much!
